Research & Work Experience

To me and other artists, arts connect feelings, lives, dreams and can even heal others. Through characters I've designed and arts I have created, I have learned to be more understanding in people. It is not that I connect people to arts but art are connecting me to others.

Art Enrichment Program for Victims of Crimes and Abuse

Before becoming an artist, I was born a girl and a woman; hence, building on my social works, which includes developing an Art Enrichment Program for victims of crimes and abuse, I also aim to inspire and empower women to fearlessly pursue their passions through my artistic creations.

I have been actively involved in the Art Enrichment Program for Victims of Crimes and Abuse, a meaningful initiative aimed at supporting underprivileged girls aged 6 to 12 years. In this role, I designed and established a prototype art program, providing these young girls with opportunities to develop valuable art-based skills and create unique handmade products. Beyond skill development, our program introduced new career paths within the arts and crafts field, offering these girls a vision for their future in the creative industry.

To sustain and expand the program’s impact, we raised funds through various channels, including fairs and events hosted in schools, hospitals, and local businesses. These funds were crucial in enabling us to reinvest in the acquisition of new equipment and materials, thereby enriching the program and providing these girls with even more opportunities for creative expression and skill development.

Animated Video Project

My curiosity about the stigma and misconceptions associated with HIV/AIDS led me to regularly visit Rajavithee Hospital to support children living with the condition through providing educational scholarships. Believing that financial support alone was unsustainable, I embarked on creating an engaging animated video featuring powerful character designs while working closely with medical professionals to educate the public and alleviate the fear surrounding HIV/AIDS.

This experience imparted to me a service-oriented mindset, which I hope to further at UMass through joining “Face AIDS UMass,” where I can help alleviate the burdens of HIV/AIDS from the surrounding Amherst community to Africa.

I have been actively involved in the creation of a powerful and engaging animated video with a mission to reduce stigma and fear surrounding HIV. This impactful video is currently being prominently displayed at HIV centers and children’s hospitals across Thailand. The primary objective of this initiative is to empower children living with HIV, facilitating their access to more equal opportunities and fostering a more inclusive environment.

Throughout the project, I collaborated closely with medical professionals and HIV advocacy groups to ensure the content’s accuracy and relevance, making certain that it effectively serves its intended purpose of diminishing stigma and fear associated with HIV.

Product Design Project for a Clay Modeling Set

The revelation of natural dyes opened a new chapter in my artistic pursuits, guiding me to an enriching juncture as a Character Designer Intern at Clayworks Design Center. In this role, I became engaged in a project deeply rooted in my aspirations – crafting three-dimensional avatars for a children’s clay house modeling set.

During this period, I served as a Character Designer Intern at the Clayworks Design Center, contributing to the development of a children’s clay house modeling set designed for creative play. The fruits of our labor are now available in all Clayworks stores and have been exported to neighboring countries. My role involved creating high-quality 3D character designs, featuring Mali and Krathi characters, which were integral to the set. I harnessed the capabilities of the Shapr3d app to bring these characters to life. To evaluate the initial designs, we recreated them using cardboard prototypes, a process that involved meticulous attention to detail. To ensure that the designs were not only appropriate but also viable, we engaged children in focus groups who actively tested and interacted with the characters. After rigorous testing and approval, the final designs were sent to the factory for mass production, ensuring that these imaginative characters could be enjoyed by children far and wide, fostering creativity and play.

Saengtawon Aluminum Factory

As a life-long learner, I have tried acqiuring several skills to get out of my comfort zone. Trying arts on aluminum material turned out to be more fascinating than I had expected.

During my summer internship at Saengtawon Aluminum Factory, I had the opportunity to learn more about aluminum tray manufacturing and aluminum casting. This experience involved hands-on engagement in various aspects of the production process. I learned the intricate process of melting ingots with aluminum scrap, followed by molding the material into sheets using hydraulic machines. Additionally, I gained insights into the process as well.

Building upon my acquired knowledge, I applied my creativity and skills to introduce more modern designs to traditional Thai aluminum patterns, particularly in the creation of aluminum trays. This initiative aimed to diversify the product range and enhance the global appeal of these traditional products. My time at Saengtawon Aluminum Factory not only provided valuable insights into manufacturing but also allowed me to contribute to the evolution of a time-honored craft in the modern market.

Yuexling Art Account

Since January 2017, I have operated the Yuexling Art Account, serving as its owner, with a strong presence on social media platforms such as Instagram (@Yuexling) and Twitter (@yu3yu3). This platform has functioned as a vibrant showcase for my artistic creations, attracting a global audience and fostering a significant following. Notably, I have had the privilege of receiving commissions from a diverse range of customers, primarily hailing from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe. These commissioned artworks encompass a variety of projects, reflecting the versatility of my artistic talents. Some examples include the creation of “The Red Almond” logo for C Touchpoints Co., Ltd., a company specializing in handbags. Additionally, I’ve designed characters for V-tuber customers, crafted mascots for the Freetex Elastic Fabric Factory for the International Trade Fair, and developed a new ABC pattern for Koom Square’s laptop table.

GOBABYGO TH

Toddlers and kids’ improvement of fine motor is considered such a crucial state, so to participate in the activities bring me more knowledge about kids and how my know-how could be put to functionality.

Since November 2022, I have proudly taken on the role of Co-founder for GoBabyGo SHB, a service organization dedicated to enhancing children’s mobility and improving their overall quality of life. As part of this initiative, we’ve been actively engaged in assembling and modifying toy cars to provide children with an empowering experience. Our modifications involve rewiring the car’s throttle and incorporating an industrial footswitch onto the steering wheel. This innovative approach offers children the ability to control the toy car entirely using their hands, fostering independence and joy in their mobility. Our efforts are driven by a spirit of giving and community support. We have donated these modified toy cars to the Camilian Home Foundation and Baan Fueng Fah children’s home, ensuring that these remarkable adaptations positively impact the lives of children in need.

SWENEXT SHB (Society of Women Engineers)

Although the world is open to no-gender-boundaries, it is still obvious that women gain less opportunities compared to men even if their abilities are of equal. As the one who aims to break all the stereotyping-system, I was willing to participate the programme and has learnt a lot from the other participants.

Since September 2022, I have been actively involved with SWENEXT SHB, the Society of Women Engineers, in a role that combines creativity and engineering. In the “Rube Goldberg Project,” we have been organizing student competitions, challenging participants to create intricate machines with the goal of accomplishing a simple task in the most complicated and humorous way possible. This initiative not only encourages students to unleash their creativity but also fosters problem-solving skills and teamwork.

In the “Microscope Engineering Project,” our focus has been on designing functional microscopes using affordable materials. The objective is to produce 3-4 microscopes with the intent of donating them to rural schools in Thailand. This initiative reflects our commitment to improving educational opportunities and access to scientific exploration in underprivileged communities.
